What is a Share Group?
One of the greatest treasures the Walk to Emmaus® contains are Share (or Reunion) Groups. They help us persevere in the life of grace so those things of value to us during our Walk to Emmaus weekends will not be lost when we return to our lives in the world.
A Share Group is typically two to six persons who meet weekly for about one hour at a regular time. Your Share Group may be made up of persons you met on your Walk, your sponsor, or other pilgrims you know…even persons who have not yet participated in a Walk to Emmaus, but who are seeking to live Christ-like lives. Share Groups meet almost anywhere that's convenient, and are vital to the strength of the Walk to Emmaus Community.
How do I join one?
If you want to join a Share Group, or perhaps start one, the New-Ark Area Emmaus Community has 'Good Shepherds' to help you in your endeavor.
- The Women's Good Shepherd is Ann Kittel (614-371-9023). You may email Ann at shepherd-women(at)new-arkemmaus.org.
- The Men's Good Shepherd is Trent Snow (740-405-0727). You may email Trent at shepherd-men(at)new-arkemmaus.org.
Please feel free to ask them for assistance. There is also an online 'Share Group Survey' (see below) that you may complete indicating the days/times you would be available to meet.
Register your Share Group!
So that our 'Good Shepherds' can help folks find a share group that meets their needs and schedules, they need accurate information about all the Share Groups in the New-Ark Area Emmaus Community.
If you have not already done so (or you haven't updated your Share Group information in a while), please complete the online 'Share Group Survey' (see below). Alternatively, you may print out and complete the 'Share Group Survey Form' and return it to the appropriate Good Shepherd. THANK YOU!
