Gathering Willing Servants
At each Monthly Gathering, several community work areas are in need of Willing Servants: Audiovisual, Child Care, Logistics, Social, and Worship.
The community keeps track of the persons who have served as Gathering Willing Servants; being an active Willing Servant, whether at Gatherings or on Walk Weekends, is one of the considerations when selecting a community member to serve on a live-in team.
Below is a description of the Gathering Willing Servant jobs in each area; you are encouraged to contact the Area Chairperson (email addresses below) to get on their lists of volunteers to help at Gatherings. Thank you!
Audiovisual:
Jobs at Gatherings involve running the sound board, and preparing and running the PowerPoint slides for the song leader. Interested persons will receive training prior to serving. Contact: audiovisual(at)new-arkemmaus.org
Child Care:
Jobs at Gatherings involve supervising the children from 15 minutes prior to Gathering until they are picked up for fellowship time. New-Ark Area Emmaus will pay for the required background checks for persons volunteering to serve in this area. Contact: childcare(at)new-arkemmaus.org
Logistics:
Jobs at Gatherings involve cleaning and resetting or putting away tables and chairs after fellowship time, and cleaning and resetting the Sanctuary. Contact: logistics(at)new-arkemmaus.org
Social:
Jobs at Gatherings involve setting out the buffet prior to the fellowship time, and cleaning up the buffet and kitchen afterwards. Contact: social(at)new-arkemmaus.org
Worship:
Jobs at Gatherings include song leading (before Gathering and during communion), providing the gift of special music, and/or giving a short 'Fourth Day' testimony answering the questions 'What did my walk mean to me?' and 'What have I done about it?'. Contact: worship(at)new-arkemmaus.org
