The New-Ark Area Emmaus Community bylaws were last updated in 2013, before the addition of the Face to Face Ministry for our Community. When an Emmaus Community offers events for multiple Emmaus ministries, the Upper Room encourages the Community to employ a Governing Board structure rather than a Working Board.
A subcommittee of our Board crafted amended bylaws that provide for implementation of a Governing Board structure for the Community. The current New-Ark Area Emmaus Board unanimously approved the 2022 Amended Bylaws at their September meeting; the 2022 Amended Bylaws were subsequently approved unanimously by the voting community members on September 28, 2022.
