Monthly Gatherings
The New-Ark Area Emmaus Community meets monthly for for Worship, Holy Communion, and Fellowship. These Monthly Gatherings are held at Newark First United Methodist Church, 88 N. 5th St., Newark, Ohio.
The Gatherings are generally held on the 4th Tuesday of the month, with our December Gathering being held on the second Tuesday of the month. There may be other exceptions as well to accommodate our event schedules and the church calendar; the schedule for the Monthly Gatherings is listed below.
The Gatherings begin with community singing at 6:45 PM.
Everyone is welcome to attend a Monthly Gathering. You needn't have attended an Emmaus event (that is, a Walk to Emmaus, Face to Face Encounter, or Chrysalis Weekend event) in order to attend a Monthly Gathering.
Childcare is not currently provided for Gatherings. Children are welcome to accompany their family in the service.
A post-Gathering Fellowship Reception is held only in the months in which a Walk or Encounter event has taken place. The Gathering email and Facebook reminders will indicate if a Fellowship Reception is being held.
